Many companies
purchase blast chambers to offer them the
control and cost advantages of bringing
blast cleaning in-house.
Our blast chambers can be supplied from
our range of standard modular sized fixed
installation rooms or custom built to your
requirements.
In all cases a site survey and consultation
is required first to exactly determine the
customers requirements and provide a quotation
for the most appropriate system.
Specification
required will include variables such as
:
Optimum
Location and Size - e.g. internal, external,
containerised.
Number
of operators and operator / work-piece
access requirements
Frequency
of use
Grit
Recovery system - ensures economic running
costs by re-use of the abrasive. Types
are sweep-in hopper and/or bucket elevator,
vacuum system, under floor screw, air
wash or cyclone.
Dust
extraction - air powered or electric
vacuum
Abrasive
separator - to removes contamination
from recycled abrasive

ENVIRACLEAN Dust
Extraction
The demand for control over the volumes of dust generated by abrasive blasting requires a purpose built solution.
Coupled with the need for improved envonmental controls, operator health and safety requirements, is the higher productivity achieved by having a dust free working area.
Although dust collectors are a common feature in many factories, standard site collection units are unsuitable for the rigors of site use. Simply beefing up a standard collector will not do.
The extraction rates needed determines the
motor, air speed, and filtration area.
Both portable or stationery units can be
specified depending on your requirements.
Fitted with large surface area filter cartridges,
which periodically self-clean by means of
a reverse air pulse. Excess dust falls into
collection hoppers.
A short pulse of air
causes the dust accumulated on the cartridges
to fall into collection bins below at predetermined
intervals keeping the cartridges clean whilst
the collector is in operation.
MUNKEBO Site
Recovery Systems
Recovered
abrasive in many cases can be cleaned (when
dry) and reused by a Munkebo Unit. The purpose of a recycling
system is to remove fines and debris from
the abrasive and leave you with good clean
abrasive minimising dust and maximising
productivity. Recycling systems can be installed
in field blasting applications or existing
blast sheds.
Recovery systems can also be utilised to
remove used expendable media quickly and
efficiently from storage tanks and others
difficult to access areas.
